Dayeeta Sarkar, student of 2nd Year Hons., Department of Psychology, awarded SILVER MEDAL at the 8th Asian Yoga Sports Championship 2018 organised by YOGA FEDERATION of INDIA hosted by Yoga Association of Kerala during September 27-30, 2018

A film on 'Kashiramdas' by Dr. Indrani Chakraborty: Kashiramdas Deb, the eminent Bengali poet of middle age, who translated Sanskrit Mahabharata in Bengali has been documented by Dr. Indrani Chakraborty in a film "Kashiramdas". He was assumed to be born in Singi village of Katwa District. Scholars have different opinions regarding his birth place. The film has made an attempt to focus on his life and literary works highlighting the relevant views.

Dr. Indrani Chakaraborty has marked her competence in different fields. She achieved her D. Litt degree in 2001. At present she is Associate Professor in Department of Bengali.
