| Admission Procedure |
The date of availability of application forms for admission and the last date of submission of the forms will be notified through the College Notice Board immediately after the publication of H.S. (W.B. Board) result. The required aggregate marks and subject marks for admission in General and Honours Courses are also notified through the College Notice Board.
Admission in B.A. & B.Sc. General Cousses will be open for any student on first-come first-served basis (subject to availability of seat) on the production of original Marksheets and Admit Cards of the Board/Council Examinations.
For admission in B.A. & B.Sc. Honours Courses the candiates will have to submit application forms duly filled-in and on the basis of merit the Screening Committee will prepare the list of selected candidates which would be displayed in the Notice Board. Admission of the selected candidates will be subject to the production of original Marksheets and Admit Cards of the last Board/Council Examinations on the day notified.
There is a provision for direct admission in Honours Courses in-Economics, Bengali, History, Political Science, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Urdu, Philosophy (Day & Morning Section) and Psychology.
There will be reservation of seats of SC/ST candidates as per rule. The SC/ST candidates should enclose along with their applications one attested photocopy of SC/ST certificate. |
