Psychology is the scientific study of the mind, in particular human behavior and mental processes. This is immediately relevant on a personal level to us all. Further, the study of the mind is never ending, so such domain of knowledge will always hold value.
Human behavior is so varied, the number of subfields in psychology is also constantly growing and evolving. Each field of psychology represents a specific area of study focused on a particular topic. Students specialize in one of these areas as a career. Abnormal Psychology, Behavioral Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, Experimental Psychology , Industrial Psychology, just to name a few.
Established in 2005, the Department of Psychology, is one of the most popular courses of study among undergraduates at Victoria Institution.
The undergraduate course currently has around 85 students with consistently good academic achievement of students. Last year our student topped the university with a undergraduate record score of 77%.
