Library is the most important adjunct of Victoria Institution (College). It aims at realisation of objectives of our college. It strives to generate enthusiasm and eagerness among the students and faculty and help them to make use of the available reading materials. The primary objectives of our college library are to:
support implementation of objectives of parent institution i.e. Victoria Institution (College);
supplement the curriculum taught in the institution to which it is attached
give students a wider and deeper understanding of the universe of knowledge; and
encourage life-long learning beyond the prescribed syllabi so that the students can be more enlightened and knowledgeable.
The library is compartmentalized into Day and Morning sections. The Day Library functions as the Central Library of the College while the Morning Library helps to meet the primary needs of the students of the Morning section.
Reference Books: There is a collection of conventional reference books like General Dictionary, Glossary, Thesaurus, Encyclopedia, Gazetteers, Census, Guide book, Year Book, Almanac etc. for ready reference and general information.

E-resources: College is also a member of N-LIST programme of INFLIBNET, through which we are able to access huge number of online e-resources.
CD: In spite of having different types of books there are non-book materials like CDs.
Special Collection: Books on Keshub Chandra Sen and Gandhi.
Library provides completely OPEN ACCESS facilities and users can also search their required resources through online public access catalogue (OPAC) (in Central Library). Our library staffs also guide the users personally. They also take the users to the respective stack where the required resources are available.
