Implement several Astronomy related activities to fuel the curiosity and fascination of the students about the wonders of our vast universe alongside develop their knowledge concerning the Astronomy related natural science and recent time ongoing research works in this popular area of science.
Astronomy is an interesting and fascinating field of natural science concerned with galactic and extra-galactic objects, vastness of the universe, the creation, evolution and destiny of the universe and its constituents. It is a growing science as there are so many things about the universe have yet to be discovered and it continues to produce new discoveries on daily basis. Beyond all these, the development of astronomy benefits humanity on the Earth through various technological applications. We have formed an astronomical club in our college to make the students familiar with fascinating world of astronomical research and develop their enthusiasm about astronomy. Through different activities arranged by this club we are aiming to promote the education and interest aboutthe astronomy and related space sciences and to encourage the students to pursue astronomy as their career. We are planning to arrange different events like seminars by some eminent persons, quizzes, visit to different astronomical institutes and museums to give students the opportunities of skygazing, learning about new techniques, trying out new equipment related to astronomy and keeping them updated about recent time discoveries and researches in this fields.
